Why not just take fees in my own name?
You can, but it mixes your business money with your personal money, and it doesn’t look great to an investor. A limited company with its own bank account keeps the two apart and gives investors a business to deal with.
So I don’t need an accountant?
For a straightforward company, no. Bookkeeping, annual accounts and corporation tax are all covered in the £29.99 a month, against £1,500 or more a year for a typical accountant. If your setup is more complicated, we’ll tell you straight rather than wing it.
I already have a company. Is switching a faff?

No, and we’d rather be upfront about it. Redress scheme membership, anti-money laundering supervision and client money stay with you. We handle the company side: formation, banking, books, accounts and filings.
